I scheduled a consult with my vet to have a look at the huge lump on Kai's rear left thigh.
The lump is a cyst, most probably caused by a clogged up sebaceous gland. Not really harmful, but given the size of it (a tennis ball), it's becoming a worry.

Given the exceptional good shape Kai is in for his age (he turned 11 last May), the risk of the general anaesthetic is present, but acceptable. So i agreed with a surgical procedure to have the cyst removed.
And while Kai's under, might as well take core of some other things too, like dental cleaning.
Yay for fresh breath!

The surgery is scheduled for next Thursday morning, 10:00.
I have taken the day off so i can be there when he goes under.
Like i already stated, the risk is low, but there's still a possibility that it's a last goodbye.

Mals are tough. After her show and breeding career I had my ol' Lady 'Fox' spayed and they found a large ovarian cyst. She did fine and lived to 16. Sending tons of good thoughts your way.

Good luck to he and you. Coincidentally Kuma also turned 11 in May.
